Best Ice Shard Build for Titan Quest 2

To start with, you need to make sure that you unlock the Storm and Rogue mastery trees at the shrines once you’ve unlocked them. Then, follow the steps below to make yourself an unstoppable force with the infinite ice build.

Storm Tree

Starting with the Storm tree first, you need to put your points in the following abilities:

  1. Ice Shards – The skill that you’ll need to begin with in Titan Quest 2. Unlocking Ice Shards will allow your character to shoot numerous Ice Shards towards enemies and deal massive amounts of Cold Damage. Resist the urge to unlock higher tier skills and upgrade the skill to its maximum level as soon as possible. Assign 1 point into the Torrent modifier and then fully upgrade Chaos, which allows you to fire extra Ice Shards. Then, fully upgrade the Homing modifier so that your Ice Shards lock on to enemies without you even having to aim. Lastly, put two points into Projectile Penetration and upgrade Infused Shard once.
  2. Storm Nimbus: – This skill allows your character and their allies to deal additional Cold and Lightning Damage, making it a crucial skill for the build. Upgrade Storm Nimbus to level 7, then fully rank up Storm Enhancement as it allows the skill to inflict increased Cold and Lightning Damage on your enemies.
  3. Blink – The Blink skill will allow you to move through the battlefield fluidly using teleportation, which is what you’ll need to get the upper hand in battle. Upgrade the skill to level 8, then fully rank up its Repeat Modifier. This will grant you the ability to teleport three times in a row and provide excellent manoeuvrability.
  4. Raging Mind (Passive) – Upgrade Raging Mind to level 12 to unlock Spell Rage, which increases Spell Damage and boosts your Cast Speed greatly. When Raging Mind is fully upgraded, you’ll get the option of assigning two Feats to the skill. Assign Cast Speed and Critical Chance on the Feat slots.
  5. Storm Attunement (Passive) – This is another excellent Passive that will boost your damage because it significantly increases your damage. Only upgrade this skill to level 8. From the Feats that you’re offered, assign Spell Damage to the first slot, which will increase your Cold and Lightning Spell Damage and boost your Cast Speed.
  6. Storm Guidance (Passive) – Storm Guidance is a skill that increases your Projectile’s Damage, Homing and Range considerably, so max out its upgrades with as many points as you can. Assign Homing and Speed Feats to increase your Projectile Homing and boost your Projectile Speed and Range.

By this point you will be on your way to becoming a damage machine. So now it’s time to start putting points into the Rogue mastery tree.

Rogue Tree

  1. Accuracy (Passive) – Accuracy increases your Damage and Critical Hit Chance. Level it up to 6 to unlock one Feat slot, and then assign the Critical Hit Damage Feat. This will significantly increase your Critical Damage Multiplier.
  2. Deft Hands (Passive) – Fully level up Deft Hands. This will increase your Damage, Attack Speed and Cast Speed. Assign Critical Hit Chance, Attack and Cast Speed as your Feats when you’re given the chance because this will help buff your total damage output.
  3. Vanish  Vanish is the most important skill that you can unlock from Rogue’s skill tree but also the most difficult. You’ll need at least 18 Divinity to unlock it. You’ll acquire Divinity as you level up, but this is very much a late game final ability. Once you’ve hit tier 3, you’ll be able to unlock Vanish. Level it up as much as you can once you’ve unlocked it. Then, put 2 points in Enhanced Critical Hits, 4 points in Enhanced Duration, and 3 points in Burst of Speed.

Attribute points

Finally, you should put as many Attribute Points into Knowledge as you can. This boosts Cunning and Resolve, which in turn boosts Cold Damage (the whole purpose of this build). By doing this and focusing on the Ice Shards ability, you will be able to equip the best Mage gear in the game as fast as possible, as good mage gear requires high levels of Knowledge (and scales with it).

Assigning your Attribute Points to Knowledge will contribute to both Cunning and Resolve, and since the latter boosts Cold Damage, it’s important to invest significantly into Knowledge.

And just like that, you will have the best Titan Quest 2 ice shard build out there. You can sling ice with infinite energy, and it’s currently the most broken build for damage in the game.
